Our people
We’re a team of creators, makers and bakers.
Not all of our team members were born to work in this industry, some even had completely different careers before joining the business.
What unites us is our love for food and the great culture we are building together. There isn’t any hierarchy at Around Noon and there is no such thing as a stupid ask. We embrace our differences and challenge each other to be better. We champion diversity and encourage a 'dare to be different' attitude.

Our Story
Finessing Food-To-Go since 1989.
Our journey started back in the eighties on the Chambers family kitchen table where they lovingly made sandwiches for local businesses in Newry, Northern Ireland.
35 years and a lot of hard work later, our award-winning business has expanded to become one of the UK and Ireland’s leading Food-To-Go manufacturers, employing a multidisciplinary team of over 850 people across five sites; including North London and Slough, UK. We now produce over 55m products per year and distribute nationwide both sides of the Irish Sea.
A brief history
2012
Chief Eating Officer
Destined for a career in media, Gareth took the reins of the business after a summer job and quickly got hooked!
2014
Hard hat & iPhone
An opportunity came up to buy a disused factory in Newry, allowing us to make sandwiches on a much larger scale.
2016
Cutting the cord
Gareth and business partner Howard bought the company from Gareth’s parents and started implementing their plan for growth.
2017
Badass Bakery
Recognising the need to satisfy those with a ‘sweet tooth’, the duo purchased ‘Sweet Things’ Bakery and branched out into other categories.
2018
London's Calling
Our ambition was to take over London…We settled for Slough and acquired sandwich and snack manufacturer ‘Chef in a Box’.
2018
Time to Print
We invested in a new in-house printing operation which allowed us to save over 60 tonnes of plastic each year.
2023
SOHO join the family
Becoming a larger manufacturer in the UK and Ireland with the acquisition of The Soho Sandwich Co.
2024
London 2.0
Opening a brand new, purpose built factory in Slough.
